We are Caroline, Mike, Marla, Ada and Joshua. We're a family of five living in rural England. Caroline and Mike met in New York City almost twenty yeras ago. They moved to the UK about nine years ago, after a stint in San Francisco.
We share our land with a family of ducks, a clan of badgers, some Nuntjac deer and a variety of other wildlife. And we grow a lot of our own food, and a variety of flowers.
Mike and Caroline have been building and marketing things on the internet for a long time. We also angel invest in new companies in the US and UK. We only invest when we believe we can both add meaningful amounts of value.
Mike is building Sling Money, which he founded with some folks from Monzo Bank, where he was Chief Product Officer.
Mike's also on the board of VidIQ. Before Monzo he was Chief Product and Technology Officer at Deliveroo, the food delivery company. Mike was also, until recently, on the board of BookTrust, the children's reading charity.
Prior to Deliveroo Mike was at Facebook in California, where he worked on Identity and then ran Ads Product immediately after the IPO. After Ads he moved to London and ran Sharing Product.
Mike started an internet video company called Blip in 2005. Blip is now part of the Walt Disney Company. He's a high school dropout who got his start programming on his uncle's discarded IBM XT and his brother's Amiga 3000.
Caroline is a board member at Techspace and was previously Chief Operating Officer at Impala.
Before Impala Caroline was EMEA Marketing Director for Airbnb and EMEA Marketing Director for Facebook, where she was the first consumer marketer in Europe. Before moving to London Caroline was Product Marketing Manager for News Feed in Menlo Park.
Caroline started her career as a WPP fellow, working at a number of WPP's marketing agencies around the world. She was also a founding member of WPP Digital.
